Plot

a homicide detective closes in on buffy and faith as he investigates the deputy mayor's death.

Behind the Scenes

finch's death is the third murder investigation in which buffy has been involved in less than two years. she was previously suspected in the deaths of her would-be stepfather, the robot ted (ted (1997)), and fellow slayer kendra (becoming: part 2 (1998)). additionally, both of the previous cases were investigated by the same detective, paul stein.
